Hold the phone. What Remedy bevvie is made with quinoa sprouts?
That's what you're thinking, right?
You must be a Kombucha connoisseur or a Sodaly sipper. Heck, you might even knock back Sleep Shots on the daily, but you're used to seeing ingredients like black tea, apple cider vinegar and chamomile.
Quinoa sprouts? Bit of a different vibe, but the best kind of vibe for our mini but mighty Immune+ Shots.
These winter wellness heroes are a daily sip at the minute. A proactive boost to your immune system in the depths of cold n flu season, to help you keep Netflix-and-chill-ing instead of couch rotting with a cold.
And quinoa sprouts are one (of three) key ingredients that help our immune shots do their thanggggg.
What are quinoa sprouts?
We use a quinoa sprout extract in Immune+ Shots. This is derived from the sprouted seeds of the quinoa plant - you know the one, often found in grain salads from your fave vegan cafe. Yum.
We digress.
Quinoa sprouts are created by germinating quinoa seeds in water, a process that activates the life force of the seed and results in a sprout that is BURSTING with nutrients.
The extract we use in our immune shots is whipped up by further processing these sprouts, containing concentrated levels of the vitamins, minerals and other beneficial compounds found in quinoa sprouts.
Why do we love 'em?
As we teased out in that last little section, quinoa sprout extract contains a range of nutrients including protein, fibre, and a number of vitamins and minerals including B vitamins and vitamin E. It also contains beneficial plant compounds like quercetin and kaempferol. If you can pronounce 'em, you're doing better than we are.
On top of all that jazz, quinoa sprouts are also rich in antioxidants and peptides, compounds that can help fight against harmful free radicals in the body and have been found to have anti-inflammatory properties.
And this is just ONE of the three key ingredients we pack into our mini but mighty Immune+ Shots, helping deliver a functional (and delish!) boost to your immune system.
